Have you ever been in the situation where you had to show a customer or a friend something you’ve worked on but only had it locally installed?<\/p>\n

In this case you either had to get the customer or upload and install it on some remote server in a test installation. This all costs time and isn’t exactly comfortable.<\/p>\n

As you may have guessed from the title I have found a alternative solution for you problem.<\/p>\n

https:\/\/meetfinch.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n

This handy little program (Which can be installed with the node packet manager) creates a proxy through which your local website can be accessed.<\/p>\n

By typing the following command you can redirect your local website\u00a0http:\/\/localhost:8888 through the proxy.<\/p>\n

finch forward http:\/\/localhost:8888\r\n\r\n<\/pre>\n
After the command has been run it will display a url to a webpage alike\u00a0https:\/\/top-cat.usefinch.com (This is just a example) where you can see your local website.<\/p>\n
