If you’re encountering an issue where your Google Chrome window freezes after uploading or saving a file, you’re not alone. This issue has been reported by many users and is caused by a problem with Windows Explorer.
When you have fileshares that aren’t connected, this can cause Google Chrome to freeze when uploading or saving a file. This is because the browser is trying to access the fileshare and cannot do so because it’s not connected. As a result, the Chrome window becomes unresponsive and doesn’t accept any click inputs.
The only way to resolve the issue was for me to disconnect the fileshares.
